Falmouth Inshore Lifeboat was launched at 18:29 to locate and assist a windsurfer who had been reported in difficulties in the Carrick Roads. The Falmouth Coastguard Cliff Rescue Team were also tasked to assist in trying to locate the casualty as the first informant was not local and was unsure of the exact location of the casualty.

Once on scene the Inshore Lifeboat at 18:36 located a number of windsurfers who were fine. The Coastguard Team then located a windsurfer back on the shore at Mylor who had been struggling off the Mylor Fairway Buoy. So at 18:43 the Inshore Lifeboat was released to return to station.

Further details to follow shortly.
