Falmouth Inshore Lifeboat had just returned from attending the Helford Village Regatta and was in the process of being washed down and being refuelled when the Inshore Lifeboat was requested to relaunch to assist a small open boat which had broken down off Maenporth. The Inshore Lifeboat located the casualty which had run out of fuel and took it in tow. As they were proceeding across Falmouth Bay another boat came alongside the casualty and provided it with some fuel so once they had restarted their engine the tow was dropped and the Inshore Lifeboat was released to return to its station.

More details to follow shortly.
