Motorboat Go for Broke III broken down

At 19:07 Falmouth Coastguard requested that Falmouth Inshore Lifeboat be launched following a VHF call from the 8m Motorboat Go for Broke III with five persons on board which had reported being broken down 1 mile SSE of Pendennis Point.
The Inshore Lifeboat launched from her slipway at 19:12 and headed out into Falmouth Bay arriving on scene at 19:30. A tow line was passed to the boat and it was towed back into Falmouth where it was safely placed on its mooring off Greenbank at 20:00, the Inshore Lifeboat was released to return to its station.
The Inshore Lifeboat was back on its slipway at 20:05 where it was refuelled, rehoused and ready for service by 20:15.
The motor boat had suffered a complete engine failure and with no other vessels in the area able to assist the Coastguard had requested that the Inshore Lifeboat tow the vessel in before the light faded.
