Falmouth Inshore Lifeboat was launched at 17:20 to provide medical assistance to a person on board a yacht anchored off St Just-in-Roseland. The casualty had been swimming and on returning to the yacht had become unwell.

The Inshore Lifeboat arrived on scene at 17:27 and the Casualty Care trained crew carried out an initial assessment. The decision was made to keep the casualty on board the yacht which was then escorted back to Port Pendennis Marina where it arrived at 18:10. By this time the casualty had recovered considerably and was advised to seek further medical assistance ashore if the symptoms returned.

At 18:07 the Inshore Lifeboat was requested to proceed to a second casualty between Swanpool and Maenporth, the Inshore Lifeboat departing at 18:13.

Further details to follow shortly.
