Falmouth Inshore Lifeboat was already dealing with another incident when it was requested at 18:07 to proceed to help in the medical evacuation of a casualty who had fallen down the cliff at Sunny Cove between Swanpool and Maenporth.

The Inshore Lifeboat left at 18:13 the Port Pendennis Pontoon where it had been securing a yacht that had been involved in the earlier incident. It made best speed to Sunny Cove where two crew were put ashore at 18:22 to assist the Falmouth Coastguard Cliff Rescue Team. Due to the condition of the casualty and the remote location it was decided to evacuate the casualty using the Coastguard Helicopter. The casualty was winched into the helicopter by 19:10.

Further information will be provided shortly.
