While at Mylor Harbour completing a previous service Falmouth Inshore Lifeboat was requested at 18:11 to proceed to Nare Point at the mouth of the Helford River where a 6m Rigid Inflatable had issued a Pan Pan Broadcast following engine failure close to Nare Point.

The Inshore Lifeboat was underway by 18:13 and arrived on scene at 18:27. The Rigid Inflatable with five people and one dog on board had dropped its anchor but was very close to the shore. A line was passed so it could be pulled clear of the rocks and it was then towed up the Helford River and placed on its moorings off the Ferry Boat at 19:06, the Inshore Lifeboat then being released to return to its station.

Further details to follow shortly.
