The Coastguard received a 999 call from a person who was adrift somewhere in Falmouth Harbour and was requesting assistance.

Initially the Inshore Lifeboat was launched at 23:06 but when the dinghy could not be located both the All Weather Lifeboat and the stations Boarding Boat were tasked to join the search which was to be expanded out into the Carrick Roads.

At 23:53 the missing person was located in their dinghy off Trefusis Point and was taken on board the Inshore Lifeboat before being taken back to the Lifeboat Station with their dinghy. The casualty was treated at the lifeboat station before being transported to Treliske Hospital.
