The Inshore Lifeboat launched from her slipway at 17:06 and headed up the Carrick Roads arriving on scene at Turnaware Bar at 17:17. The lifeboat crew helped the yacht to deploy an anchor and once it had been established that the skipper was happy to wait for the incoming tide to refloat the vessel the inshore lifeboat was released at 17:32 to return to its station.
