At 12:22 Falmouth Coastguard requested that Falmouth Offshore be launched to assist the 25ft Yacht Alcudonia after its rudder had become fouled on a lobster pot marker in Gerrans Bay, and the yachts two crew had been unable to free it.

The Offshore Lifeboat left her berth at 12:33 and located the yacht in Gerrans Bay at 12:53. At 13:02 the rope had been cleared and the yacht was able to continue on its passage. The Offshore Lifeboat was released to return to station.

At 13:08 as the Offshore Lifeboat was passing St Anthony Lighthouse they were requested to proceed to assist an Inflatable Dinghy being blown out to sea off Caerhays Beach in Veryan Bay.
