Boat: Inshore Lifeboat Crew: Dave Nicoll (Helmsman), Glen Reed, Mark Waters, Carl Beardmore Location: Eastern side of Carrick Roads Shout Date: 29/07/2000 (All day) Weather:WNW 4, Slight Sea, Good Visibility, Sunny Periods Falmouth Inshore Lifeboat had just been released from a previous incident and was returning to Port Navas Regatta, when at 17:06 Falmouth Coastguard requested that the Inshore Lifeboat assist the 26ft Yacht ""Thyrez"", which was in danger of drifting onto the rocks on the East side of the Carrick Roads. The yacht, which did not have an engine or rudder, was being taken from Falmouth to Restronguet Creek by its owner using the yachts Inflatable Tender with a small outboard to propel the yacht. The Inshore Lifeboat arrived on scene at 17:08 and took the yacht in tow for Restronguet Creek. The yacht and its sole occupant were safely placed on its mooring off Point Quay at 17:56. The Inshore Lifeboat was then released to return to Port Navas Regatta.
