Falmouth Coastguard at 11:27 received a call from the Yacht Paraventure reporting a rope around its propeller while on passage from Falmouth to Penzance. The yacht was between Manacles and Black Head, so at 11:28 the Falmouth All Weather Lifeboat, which was already on exercise, was requested to proceed to assist.

The All Weather Lifeboat arrived on scene at 11:51 just as the yacht had managed to clear the rope from its propeller with the assistance of a local fishing boat. Once the yacht confirmed it was happy to continue on its passage the Lifeboat returned to its exercise at 11:56.
