Location: On mooring off Flushing
Shout Date: 23/06/2004 (All day)
Weather:N 5, Slight Sea, Good Visibility, Sunny

At 12:55 Falmouth Coastguard requested that Falmouth Inshore Lifeboat be launched to assist the 19ft Yacht Green Turtle, which had reported experiencing difficulties in adverse weather off Flushing.

The Inshore Lifeboat launched from her slipway at 13:02 and arrived on scene at 13:05. The yacht was located on a mooring off Little Falmouth and it was soon confirmed that the yacht was in no immediate danger, although she was being blown about erratically due to problems with its sails. The Inshore Lifeboat crew gave the single handed sailor assistance to stow the sails and further safety advise was given before the Inshore Lifeboat was released to return to station at 13:07.

The Inshore Lifeboat was back on its slipway by 13:14 where it was refuelled and ready for service by 13:28.
