At 21:58 Falmouth Coastguard requested that Falmouth Offshore Lifeboat be launched to assist the 33ft Work Boat ""West 1"" with two persons onboard, which reported being broken down off Lugo Rock Buoy with total engine failure.

The Offshore Lifeboat left her pontoon berth at 22:14 and arrived on scene at 22:23. The work boat was taken in tow and was safely placed on a mooring at St Mawes at 22:47.

The Offshore Lifeboat was back alongside its pontoon berth by 22:59, where it was refuelled and ready for service by 23:07.
