Falmouth Atlantic 75 Class Inshore Lifeboat - RNLB Eve Pank (B756)

At 15:24 Falmouth Inshore Lifeboat was passing Falmouth Docks heading back to station from a previous service when Falmouth Coastguard requested that they divert to investigate a report from the St Mawes Ferry of a windsurfer in difficulties off Governor Buoy. The weather conditions were deteriorating and the windsurfers sail had been down for a considerable time.

The Inshore Lifeboat arrived on scene off Governor Buoy at 15:27 and soon located the windsurfer who confirmed he was not in any difficulties and had just been taking a rest. In view of this information at 15:30 the Inshore Lifeboat was released to return to station.

The Inshore Lifeboat was back on its slipway by 15:40 where it was refuelled, rehoused and was ready for service by 15:55.
