Boat: Inshore Lifeboat Crew: Dave Nicoll (Helmsman), David Proud, Mark Waters Location: Off Carclase Point, Carrick Roads Shout Date: 18/05/2000 (All day) Weather:NW 5-6, Moderate Sea, Good, Squally Showers At 10:42 Falmouth Inshore Lifeboat was launched to assistance of two people clinging to a Capsized Bosun Sailing Dinghy, off Carclase Point, in the Carrick Roads. The Inshore Lifeboat arrived on scene at 10:46 and by 10:48 had recovered both casualties from the water. They were Hypothermic and in a poor state having swallowed some seawater. The Inshore Lifeboat headed back to the Grove Place Dinghy Park at full speed, where the casualties were transferred ashore at 10:55 to be treated for Hypothermia. They were then transferred to Treliske Hospital by Ambulance. At 11:02 the Inshore Lifeboat headed back to the capsized sailing dinghy. The dinghy was righted and towed back to the Grove Place Dinghy Park where it was safely berthed at 11:40. The Inshore Lifeboat was then released to return to station. The Inshore Lifeboat was back at station by 11:45, where it was refuelled and ready for service by 12:00.
