Boat: All Weather Lifeboat Crew: Mark Pollard (Coxswain), Snowy Angove, Alan Rowe, John Blakeston, John Lower, Carl Beardmore, Daine Bush Location: Falmouth Inner Harbour Shout Date: 31/12/2007 (All day) Weather:S 4, Slight Sea & Swell, Good Visibility, Partly Cloudy At 19:04 Falmouth Coastguard requested that the Falmouth All Weather Lifeboat be launched to assist in the search for a missing person. Indications were that the person might have entered the water sometime during the day in the vicinity of the Royal Cornwall Yacht Club. The Inshore Lifeboat had been requested to launch at 18:58 following the initial request from the Police and the Falmouth Coastguard Rescue Team had also been tasked to assist in the search. Falmouths All Weather Lifeboat left its berth at 19:23 and at 19:26 commenced a search of the docks area with its Y-Boat searching the Flushing shore. The Inshore Lifeboat obtained details from the police and then commenced a shoreline search from the Royal Cornwall Yacht Club towards Custom House Quay, while the Coastguard Team concentrated on the Greenbank and Penryn River area. At 19:50 the Police advised that the missing person had been located safe and well ashore so all units were released to return to station. The All Weather Lifeboat was back alongside its pontoon berth by 20:02. The lifeboat was then refuelled, and was ready for service by 20:10.
