Falmouth Atlantic 75 Class Inshore Lifeboat - RNLB Eve Pank (B-756)

At 00:20 Falmouth Coastguard requested the launch of Falmouth Inshore Lifeboat following a request from the police for assistance in locating a missing person believed to be possibly in the Gyllyngvase or Swanpool Beach areas. The Falmouth Coastguard Cliff Rescue Team and Mobile were also tasked to assist along with various police units.

The Inshore Lifeboat launched from her slipway at 00:26 and arrived on scene at Gyllyngvase at 00:34. A search of the coastline between Gyllyngvase and Swanpool was commenced using the boats thermal imaging camera and night vision equipment. Various contacts were identified and eliminated from the search and at 00:57 the police advised the coastguard that they had located the missing person at an address in the town, the Inshore Lifeboat therefore being released to return to station.

The Inshore Lifeboat was back on its slipway by 01:12 where it was refuelled, rehoused and was ready for service by 01:25.
