At 19:13 Falmouth Offshore Lifeboat was launched by Falmouth Coastguard to assist the Inshore Lifeboat in a search for a Catamaran which had been reported drifting off Messack Point, in the Carrick Roads, in adverse weather conditions.

The Offshore Lifeboat arrived on scene at 19:33 and joined the Inshore Lifeboat in the search of the Carrick Roads.

Both Lifeboats carried out a search of the Carrick Roads, and at 19:58 when the area been thoroughly covered and no vessel or debris located the search was called off.

The Offshore Lifeboat was back at its berth at the station at 20:13, where it was refuelled and ready for service by 20:30.
