Falmouth Inshore Lifeboat - RNLB Eve Pank - B756

At 13:33 Falmouth Inshore Lifeboat was attending Maenporth Beach RNLI Fun Day when Falmouth Coastguard advised that the Gyllyngvase RNLI Lifeguards had reported three people being cut off by the tide on the cliffs between Gyllyngvase and Swanpool. The Inshore Lifeboat was requested to proceed to assist if required.

The Inshore Lifeboat departed Maenporth at 13:35 and arrived on scene at 13:40. The two Lifeguards on Arancia Inshore Rescue Boat discussed the situation with the Inshore Lifeboat crew and it was agreed that due to the Arancia's shallow draft that it should be used to evacuate the casualties off the rocks. All three casualties were safely recovered from the rocks by the Lifeguards and transferred to the Inshore Lifeboat, which then landed them at Gyllyngvase Beach.

Once the casualties had been landed safely on the beach Gyllyngvase at 14:00 the Inshore Lifeboat was then released to return to the event at Maenporth.
