At 12:04 Falmouth Coastguard requested that Falmouth Offshore Lifeboat be launched to carry out the medical evacuation of a crewman from the Jersey Registered Fishing Vessel ""Pieter"", in a position 3 miles Southeast of Falmouth.

The Offshore Lifeboat left her pontoon berth at 12:17 and was alongside the Fishing Boat by 12:32. Two lifeboat crew were put onboard the ""Pieter"" to assess the casualties' condition, and once they were happy the casualty was transferred onto the lifeboat.

The lifeboat then proceeded back to its pontoon berth, were the casualty was landed to a waiting ambulance at 13:02.

The Offshore Lifeboat was refuelled and ready for service by 13:25.
