Boat: All Weather Lifeboat Crew: Alan Barnes (Coxswain), Roger McClarity, Tim Julian, Peter Wood, Alan Rowe, John Lower, Mark Waters Location: Penryn River & Falmouth Harbour Shout Date: 10/04/2002 (All day) Weather:N 3, Slight Sea, Good Visibility, Clear Sky At 21:52 Falmouth Coastguard requested that Falmouth Offshore Lifeboat be launched to assist in the search for a person who had been reported missing in the Penryn River. The missing person who had been drinking, had earlier been seen in a small punt which had broken down off Greenbank Quay, and had not then returned to its destination. The Inshore Lifeboat, Station Boarding Boat and the Coastguard Mobile had been searching for the missing person since 21:05. The Offshore Lifeboat left her berth at 22:05 and headed out into the harbour to commence the search. At 22:13 the Coastguard Mobile reported that the casualty had been found at Islington Wharf so all units were released to station. The Offshore Lifeboat was back alongside its pontoon berth by 22:26, where it was refuelled and ready for service by 22:35.
