At 08:04 Falmouth Coastguard requested that Falmouth Offshore Lifeboat be launched to assist the 42ft ex Pilot Boat ""Hemajo"" with one person onboard which was taking water, in a position 1 mile Southeast of Manacle Buoy. The Fishing Vessel ""Jo Mar II"" which was near by and also offered to assist.

The Offshore Lifeboat left her pontoon berth at 18:18 and made best speed to the casualties' position. As the lifeboat was crossing Falmouth Bay, the ""Jo Mar II"" reported that she was alongside the ""Hemajo"" and that she was low in the water. At 08:50 as the Lifeboat was approaching the scene the ""Jo Mar II"" reported that the ""Hemajo"" had sunk and the owner had been safely recovered. The Lifeboat arrived on scene at 09:00 and the casualty and his belongings were transferred to the lifeboat.

At 09:25 whilst the lifeboat was collecting debris from the water, Falmouth Coastguard requested that the Lifeboat proceed to the Fishing Vessel ""Harvester"" which was 9 miles South of Manacle Buoy and had reported having a crew member with an injured hand, which required medical evacuation.
