At 02:44 Falmouth Coastguard requested that Falmouth All Weather Lifeboat be launched to assist the 19ft Motorboat Little Mow, which had put out a Mayday call when it lost power off St Mawes Castle having possibly collided with an object. Portscatho Coastguard mobile was also tasked to assist.

The All Weather Lifeboat left her berth at 02:57 and located the vessel off Lugo Rock Buoy at 03:19. The motorboat, which had nine people onboard, was taken in tow to St Mawes Harbour where it was safely berthed alongside the quay at 03:38. Once details had been obtained the lifeboat was released to return to station at 03:53.

The All Weather Lifeboat was back alongside its pontoon berth by 04:15, where it was ready for service by 04:30.
