Location: Penryn River off Flushing
Shout Date: 15/04/2008 (All day)

At 15:50 Falmouth Coastguard requested that the Falmouth Inshore Lifeboat be launched following a call from the 25ft Motor Boat Jolly Molly reporting that she was in the Penryn River off Flushing and had fouled her propeller.

The Inshore Lifeboat launched from her slipway at 15:58 arriving on scene at 16:03. The boat had been on the edge of the main channel and had managed to get the pennant from one of the fishing boat moorings around its propeller. The lifeboat crew managed after some difficulty to free the line and then towed the boat up to the Falmouth Marina where she was safely berthed at 16:40.

The Inshore Lifeboat was back on its slipway by 16:50 where it was refuelled, rehoused and was ready for service by 17:05.

Although not in any immediate danger the crew of the motorboat had been unable to free the line and had contacted the coastguard for assistance.
