Boat: All Weather Lifeboat Crew: Mark Pollard (Coxswain), David Proud, Alistair Heane, John Blakeston, Dave Nicoll, Phil Rogers, John Lower, Mark Waters, Carl Beardmore, and an Ambulance Paramedic Location: Carrick Roads Shout Date: 11/09/2005 (All day) Weather:N 3, Slight Sea, Good Visibility, Clear Sky At 22:34 Falmouth Coastguard requested that Falmouth All Weather be launched to evacuate a passenger onboard the Pleasure Boat Princessa. The Princessa had been returning from an evening trip up the River Fal, when she had advised the Coastguard of a medical problem onboard. The All Weather Lifeboat left its berth at 22:42 having taken onboard an Ambulance Paramedic. The lifeboat rendezvoused with the Princessa as she was crossing the Falmouth Bank, and the Paramedic and a lifeboatman were placed onboard to assess the casualty. Once the patient had been stabilised she was transferred to the lifeboat using a stretcher before being taken back to the lifeboat pontoon where she was transferred into a waiting ambulance. The All Weather Lifeboat was back alongside its pontoon berth by 23:15, where it was ready for service by 23:30.
