At 14:53 Falmouth Offshore Lifeboat was launched by Falmouth Coastguard to evacuate a 32 year old Polish Seaman who was suffering from Stomach Pains and required Hospitalisation. The 6,000 Gross Tonne Car Carrier ""Feeder Chief"" had been on passage from Le Harve to Vigo, and had diverted to Falmouth to land the crewman.

The Offshore Lifeboat arrived alongside the vessel at 15:16 and the casualty was transferred to the lifeboat.

At 15:37 the lifeboat was back at its berth and the casualty was handed over to a waiting Ambulance, for the journey to Treliske Hospital.

The Offshore Lifeboat was refuelled and ready for service by 15:55.
