At 10:11 while the Falmouth Offshore Lifeboat was towing the 24ft Yacht Nijomi towards Falmouth they were advised by Falmouth Coastguard that the 47ft French Yacht Andrenaline 3 had reported that she had suffered engine failure and needed assistance to enter the harbour, but was in no immediate danger. The yacht was advised to stand off the entrance and that the lifeboat would assist once the first casualty had been safely moored alongside.

At 11:53 the Nijomi was safely berthed at the Port Pendennis Marina and the Offshore Lifeboat proceeded to the assistance of the French Yacht arriving alongside her at 12:05. The yacht was tied alongside the lifeboat and taken to Port Pendennis Marina where she was safely moored at 12:30, the Offshore Lifeboat being released to return to station.

The Offshore Lifeboat was back alongside its pontoon berth by 12:40, where it was ready for service by 13:08.
