Falmouth Atlantic 75 Class Inshore Lifeboat - RNLB Eve Pank (B756)

At 19:50 Falmouth Coastguard requested that Falmouth Inshore Lifeboat be launched following a call from the Diving Rigid Inflatable Lympstone Divers reporting that they had broken down east of Nare Point.

The Inshore Lifeboat launched from her slipway at 19:57 and arrived on scene at 20:57. The dive boat was taken in tow back to Porthkerris where it was safely moored at 20:40. The inshore lifeboat was then released to return to station but as it was passing the Northern Arm of Falmouth Docks at 20:55 the coastguard requested that they head back out into Falmouth Bay to investigate reports of flares being fired in the vicinity of Pennance Point.

The 6m long Diving Rigid Inflatable with eight persons onboard had just completed a dive in the entrance to the Helford River when they had found they were unable to restart their outboard engine due to a flat battery.
