Boat: All Weather Lifeboat Crew: Roger McClarity (Coxswain), John Murray, Alan Rowe, Phil Rogers, Carl Beardmore, Jeff Gill, John Lower, Alister Heane. Location: Manacle Rocks, Falmouth Bay Shout Date: 20/05/2000 (All day) Weather:SW 2, Slight Sea, Good Visibility, Sunny Periods Falmouth Offshore Lifeboat was launched at 09:09 following a report of a coaster aground on the Manacle Rocks. Porthoustock Coastguard Mobile was also dispatched to a suitable vantage point. The Lifeboat arrived on scene at 09:28, to find that the Coaster ""Buriho 1"" was in fact anchored close to the Manacles and was riding high by the bow having already discharged her ballast while waiting to go alongside the wharf at Dean Quarry, in the Manacles, to load stone. From the north it was very easy to imagine that the coaster was aground on the Manacles. The lifeboat confirmed the coasters details before being released to return to station, the master of the coaster asking ""did you bring today's newspapers with you?"" The Offshore Lifeboat was released at 09:35, and proceeded to Mylor with the Inshore Lifeboat to attend the Mylor Yacht Club Sea Safety Day.
