Boat: Inshore Lifeboat Crew: Dave Nicoll (Helmsman), Mark Waters, Alister Heane, Marc Thomas Location: Off Grebe Beach, Helford River Shout Date: 27/08/2000 (All day) Weather:W 3-4, Slight Sea, Good Visibility, Sunny Periods At 15:25 Falmouth Inshore Lifeboat had just completed a Helicopter Display at Durgan Regatta when it was requested by Falmouth Coastguard to investigate a report of a boat dragging its anchor and colliding with other boats off Grebe Beach, in the Helford. The Falmouth Coastguard Mobile was also dispatched to assist. The Inshore Lifeboat arrived on scene at 15:28, and found that a yacht had dragged its anchor and had collided with two other boats. The yacht had managed to clear itself but had left the two other boats tangled up and in danger of dragging ashore. The Inshore Lifeboat put two crewmen onboard the Motor Boat ""Bold Lancer"", to help untangle her anchor which had become fouled with the anchor from the Yacht ""Shelina"". Once the two boats had been untangled and had been safely repositioned the Inshore Lifeboat returned to the Durgan Regatta at 15:45.
