Location: Off Black Rock, at the entrance to Falmouth Harbou
Shout Date: 11/05/2000 (All day)

Falmouth Inshore Lifeboat was launched at 18:51 to assist the 23ft yacht ""Calipso"" which had been dismasted during a heavy squall while racing off Black Rock, at the entrance to Falmouth Harbour.

The Inshore Lifeboat arrived on scene at 18:55 to find the yacht had managed to recover its mast and rigging and was heading back to St Mawes using its engine. The Inshore Lifeboat escorted the yacht back into the shelter of St Mawes Harbour, and at 19:05 having checked that all the other racing yachts were safe, the Inshore Lifeboat was released to return to station.

At 19:08 while entering the harbour the Inshore Lifeboat was diverted to investigate a report of a drifting working boat off Greenbank Quay.
