Offshore Lifeboat Call Date : Monday 20th July 1999 Service : Yacht "Symphony" close to rocks and unable to sail Location : Gull Rock, Veryan Bay Falmouth Offshore was launched 17:15 to assist the 20 foot Yacht "Symphony" which close to the rocks and unable to sail near Gull Rock, Veryan Bay. The yacht "Restless" relayed the initial call from the "Symphony" as her radio transmissions were very weak. The "Restless" stood by the "Symphony" until the lifeboat arrived. The Offshore Lifeboat arrived on scene at 17:36 and took the "Symphony" in tow for Falmouth. The yacht was safely moored at Port Pendennis Marina at 19:55. The Offshore Lifeboat returned to station, where it was refueled and ready for service by 20:15. Coxswain : Roger McClarity. |
