| Date : Friday 6th August 1999 Service : Yacht "Little Squaw" with Lobster Pot line around Propeller Location : 2 miles South East of Portscatho, Gerrans Bay Falmouth Offshore was launched 22:35 to assist the 26 foot Yacht "Little Squaw" which had fouled its propeller on a lobster pot line two miles to the South East of Portscatho, Gerrans Bay. The yachts three crew were unable to free the line and had asked the Coastguard for assistance. The lifeboat arrived on scene at 22:55 and with the assistance of Second Coxswain Roger McClarity the line was eventually cut away and at 23:22 the yacht was then taken in tow for Falmouth. The yacht was safely moored at Port Pendennis Marina by 00:45. The Offshore Lifeboat returned to station, where it was refueled and ready for service by 01:00. Coxswain : Alan Barnes. |
