Pics of the Boat
The Falmouth Lifeboat station was established by the Institution in 1867 as the result of several wrecks occurring in the vicinity. 1829 Gold Medal awarded to William Broad for the rescue. Using an open boat, of 11 people from the brig Larch which ran onto rock in a heavy gale on 7 January 1828.  |
