At 10:36 Falmouth Coastguard requested that Falmouth All Weather Lifeboat be launched to meet the French Fishing Vessel Scuderea, which was heading towards Falmouth with a crewman who had suffered an eye injury.
The All Weather Lifeboat left its pontoon berth at 11:15 and rendezvoused with the Fishing Vessel as agreed at 11:30 in a position 5 miles Southeast of Falmouth. The casualty who was able to walk was transferred to the Lifeboat and brought ashore where an ambulance Paramedic who took him to hospital for treatment met him.

At 16:54 Falmouth Coastguard requested that Falmouth Inshore Lifeboat be launched following a call reporting concerns for the elderly occupant of a houseboat, which appeared to be taking water. The boat was moored on the foreshore down stream from Islington Wharf in the Penryn River and its owner had not been seen recently. The Falmouth Coastguard Mobile was also tasked to assist.

At 15:41 Falmouth Coastguard requested that Falmouth Inshore Lifeboat be launched following a report from the NCI Lookout at Nare Head of a number of dinghies and other craft struggling in the adverse weather conditions with the wind gusting in excess of 40 knots.

Falmouth All Weather Lifeboat had just arrived at Portscatho for the annual lifeboat service when at 15:02 Falmouth Coastguard requested that the All Weather Lifeboat proceed to Porthoustock where they had received a report of a diver requiring medical assistance. The Inshore Lifeboat, which was at Durgan Regatta, was already proceeding along with the Porthoustock Coastguard Mobile and Ambulance Paramedics.

Falmouth Inshore Lifeboat was just about to do a display at Durgan Regatta when at 15:02 Falmouth Coastguard requested that the Inshore Lifeboat proceed to Porthoustock where they had received a report of a diver requiring medical assistance. At 16:49 Falmouth Coastguard requested that Falmouth Inshore Lifeboat be launched following reports of Dory drifting close to the rocks at Pendennis Point with a yacht trying to recover it.
The Inshore Lifeboat launched from her slipway at 16:54 and arrived on scene at 16:57. The yacht by this time had managed to get a towline on the dory and was towing it clear of the shore. Having confirmed that the Dory belonged to friends and that no other assistance was required, the yacht continued on its passage to the Helford while at 17:10 the Inshore Lifeboat was released to return to station.

At 11:57 Falmouth Coastguard requested that Falmouth All Weather Lifeboat be launched following a distress call from the 37ft Catamaran Camelot which was 2 miles South of Pendennis Point stating it was taking water following a collision with the Fishing Vessel Hayley Marie. The Pilot Boat Arrow and a number of other vessels also responded to the distress call and proceeded to the scene.

At 00:18 Falmouth Coastguard requested that Falmouth All Weather Lifeboat be launched following a call from Cornwall Fire Brigade control room reporting a major engine room fire onboard the 183m Bulk Carrier Joalmi which was berthed alongside the Queens Wharf in Falmouth Docks. As well as a considerable number of Fire Units the Coastguard Mobile its team members were also tasked.

At 23:42 Falmouth Coastguard requested that Falmouth Inshore Lifeboat be launched following a report from police control that a yacht moored off Malpas in the Truro River had reported seeing an upturned boat float past them. The Falmouth Coastguard Mobile was also tasked to assist.

At 13:20 Falmouth Coastguard requested that both Falmouth All Weather and Inshore Lifeboats be launched following a distress call from the yacht Two Son’s with three persons onboard which had reported that it was taking on water and was in danger of sinking 4 miles South of Falmouth. A number of vessels including a rigid inflatable also proceeded to assist.
