The lifeboat crew had just completed changing over equipment to a relief lifeboat so that the station lifeboat could go away for maintenance work, when at 17:45 Falmouth Coastguard requested assistance in recovering a person cut off by the tide near the wreck of the Ben Asdale at Maenporth Beach.

At 09:15 as the crew of Falmouth All Weather Lifeboat were preparing to go on exercise Falmouth Coastguard requested that the Lifeboat be launched to assist the 16ft Motor Boat Red Square with four people onboard which had reported being broken down in Falmouth Bay.

At 18:07 Falmouth Coastguard requested that Falmouth All Weather be launched to carryout a medical evacuation of a crewman from the Merchant Vessel Emuna which was at anchor in Falmouth Bay, approximately 1 mile East of August Rock. The crewman had been suffering from breathing difficulties and following medical advice obtained through Falmouth Coastguard, it had been recommended that the crewman be taken ashore for further treatment.

At 12:55 Falmouth Coastguard requested that Falmouth Inshore Lifeboat be launched to assist the 19ft Yacht Green Turtle, which had reported experiencing difficulties in adverse weather off Flushing.

At 18:23 Falmouth Coastguard requested that both Falmouth Inshore and All Weather Lifeboats be launched following reports of two separate incidents close to Black Rock at the entrance to Falmouth Harbour. The 35ft Yacht Ju Kyu which had grounded on Black Rock was reporting steering difficulties and an injured crewman, while the Motor Cruiser Lindsey had reported engine failure nearby.

At 10:35 Falmouth Coastguard requested that Falmouth Inshore Lifeboat be launched following reports of a capsized Pico Sailing Dinghy off Trefusis Point with no sign of its occupant. Falmouth Coastguard Mobile and other vessels including Harbour Launch Killigrew and a Rigid Inflatable from Falmouth Sailing School were also tasked to assist.

Falmouth Inshore Lifeboat was afloat in the Inner Harbour assisting the Lizard Lifeboat in berthing a casualty when at 10:18, Falmouth Coastguard called requesting that the Inshore lifeboat proceed to assist with a medical emergency onboard the yacht Penlena that was reported to be moored off Custom House Quay.

At 19:50 Falmouth Coastguard requested that Falmouth Inshore Lifeboat be launched following a call from the Diving Rigid Inflatable Lympstone Divers reporting that they had broken down east of Nare Point.
