At 00:34 Falmouth Coastguard requested that Falmouth Inshore Lifeboat be launched following a call from the yacht Pactem which was moored in the Helford River reporting that one of its occupants was having breathing difficulties. Westcountry Ambulance service also tasked a first responder and an ambulance to meet the Inshore Lifeboat at the Ferry Boat Inn at Helford Passage.

Falmouth All Weather Lifeboat was on exercise in Falmouth Bay when at 11:41 Falmouth Coastguard requested that the All Weather Lifeboat proceed to the assistance of the 23ft Motor Boat Lely B, which had reported suffering engine failure off Trefusis Point.
The All Weather Lifeboat was underway at 11:42 and arrived alongside the motor boat at 11:55. Having assessed the situation the lifeboat took the vessel in tow for the Falmouth Marina in the Penryn River where she was safely moored up at 12:20, the Lifeboat then being released to return to station.

Falmouth Inshore Lifeboat was on exercise off Killigerran Head when at 11:41 Falmouth Coastguard requested that Falmouth Inshore Lifeboat proceed towards Mylor Creek where the police had requested assistance in searching for an elderly person that had been reported missing. The Falmouth Coastguard Mobile was also tasked to assist in the search.

At 16:35 Falmouth Coastguard requested that Falmouth Inshore Lifeboat be launched following reports of a yacht aground on Black Rock at the entrance to Falmouth Harbour.

At 08:54 Falmouth Coastguard requested that Falmouth All Weather Lifeboat be launched following a call from the 43ft Yacht White Spirit with two persons onboard reporting that it’s steering had failed and that they were only ½ mile Southeast of Manacle Buoy.

At 13:26 Falmouth Coastguard requested that Falmouth Inshore Lifeboat be launched following reports of an engine fire onboard the Motor Cruiser Unsinkable which was off the Eastern Arm of Falmouth Docks.

At 18:00 Falmouth Coastguard requested that Falmouth Inshore Lifeboat be launched following an incomplete 999 call reporting two people caught in a rip current at Maenporth Beach. A Rescue Helicopter from RNAS Culdrose and the Falmouth Coastguard Mobile were also tasked to assist.

At 12:25 as the Falmouth Inshore Lifeboat was approaching Pendennis Point on its way back from a previous tasking, Falmouth Coastguard requested that the Inshore Lifeboat proceed to Swanpool where a Kite Surfer had been reported in difficulties. Falmouth Coastguard Mobile was also tasked to assist.

At 12:05 Falmouth Coastguard requested that both Falmouth Inshore and All Weather Lifeboat’s be launched following a call reporting a kayaker to overdue while on passage between Coverack and Maenporth. A Rescue Helicopter from RNAS Culdrose and the Falmouth Coastguard Mobile were also tasked to assist.
