Alderney lifeboat volunteers face a long haulAlderney’s relief Trent class lifeboat was launched shortly after noon today (Thursday), at the request of Brixham Coastguard, to help three people on board the 42-ft Hardy motor cruiser Miss Molly which had broken down 26 miles north-west of Alderney, in the Channel’s busy westbound shipping lane. The lifeboat was on scene in 80 minutes, a tow was established and both vessels were secure in Braye Harbour, with the lifeboat refuelled, by 4pm...
