Inshore Lifeboat Call Date : Friday 4th September 1998 Service : Missing Diver Location : Area between Pendennis Point and St Anthony Lighthouse Falmouth Inshore Lifeboat was launched at 20:15 to assist in the search for a missing diver in an area between Pendennis Point and St Anthony Lighthouse. He had not returned to his diving boat, who after an initial search contacted a nearby boat to raise the alarm. The Offshore Lifeboat, a Helicopter from Culdrose and the Local Coastguard Cliff Rescue teams were also alerted. The two lifeboats and Helicopter carried out an initial search and after a short time the diver was spotted by the helicopter. The Inshore Lifeboat recovered the diver and took him to the Offshore Lifeboat where he was checked over.
