Offshore Lifeboat Call

Date : Saturday 24th April 1999
Service : Fishing Boat "Pickeral" broken down
Location : Inside Manacle Rocks Falmouth

Offshore Lifeboat was launched at 17:30 to assist the Fishing Boat "Pickeral", which had broken down in the Manacle Rocks. The Lifeboat located the "Pickeral" about 200 yards to the West of Carn Du Rock at anchor.
The boat was taken in tow for Falmouth where she was safely returned to her berth at Falmouth Marina. The Offshore Lifeboat returned to its berth, was refueled and ready for service by 20:10

Coxswain : Alan Barnes.
Crew : Roger McClarity, John Murray, David Proud, Mark Pollard, Ken Avis, Phil Rogers. Weather : S 4, Moderate Sea, Good Visibility, Sunny Periods.
