| Date : Sunday 21st December 1998 Service : Search following Discovery of Debris Location: Mylor Harbour and Carrick Roads Falmouth Inshore Lifeboat was launched at 05:15 carryout a search of the Mylor Harbour and Carrick Road's area following the discovery of various debris including a lifebuoy by a security guard at Mylor Harbour. A search of the immediate area and then the shores of the Carrick Roads was carried out by the Inshore Lifeboat and Coastguard Mobile. The only debris located was restricted to the Harbour Area and was believed to have come from a sunken mooring barge which had gone down alongside the pontoons during the night. Winds during the night had reached Storm Force for a time. Once the Emergency Services were satisfied that no other boat was involved the Inshore Lifeboat was released to return to station.
