Thursday 18th February 1999 Service : Search for Three Children Missing in Small Boat Location : Falmouth Inner Harbour Falmouth Inshore Lifeboat was diverted from Exercise at 19:45 to assist in the search for three 8 year old children who had been reported missing in a small rowing boat in Falmouth Inner Harbour. The Inshore Lifeboat, Coastguard Mobile and various Police units carried out a search of the Harbour Area. The missing boat was located safely tied up alongside the Gas Works Car Park, near the Bosuns Locker. After further enquires by the police the three children were located nearby in the Town. Once the Police had confirmed the children's safety the Inshore Lifeboat was released to return to station.
